What is Motivation?

Why is it that some Real Estate Agents have no problem staying motivated while others struggle with this daily?

While we want to spend this time of year, it is important to build for ourselves a momentum that will keep us motivated come January 1 and lead us into a great New Year.

The Science behind Motivation

Motivation at its root is desire. If you’re saying what you want, and don’t yet have it, you need to take inventory of your action. Desire is what we are willing to sacrifice for. 

1.Increase your Belief 

Believe that if you put forth the work, you will be rewarded. During the Christmas season and during the current market shift, you may not see the outcome as quickly as you want to. If you can hold on to the true expectancy that you eventually will, you can hold on long enough.

2. Multiply your belief by Value

If you really do want the result you’re after, and truly believe you will be rewarded for the work, you are exponentially more likely to achieve it. Your knee-jerk reaction will be more effort.

3. Decrease impulsivity 

In order to maintain his mindset, you will need to adopt a frame of mind of delayed gratification. You are willing to work long enough to see the results, as when a farmer sows seeds. 

4. Delay 

Stay motivated and work in the hours when you aren’t needed in the immediate so you can invest in your future.
